Glossary

The words used in your admin and in these guides. You can rename Cash Wallet and Site Credit in your wallet rules, so your own site may use different names.

A to C

Admin. The staff area of your site, at your site address followed by /admin. Also the name of a staff role that can use almost everything in it.

Amplify. A temporary boost to your Cash Wallet and Site Credit instant win prizes. You can multiply the prize or add a fixed extra amount for a set time, or until a condition is met.

Autodraw. A competition setting called "Enable autodraw". When the competition closes, the winner is picked automatically using the provably fair draw.

Cash Wallet. Money a customer holds on your site that they can withdraw to their bank account. Prizes paid as cash, goodwill credits and refunds that cannot go back to a card are examples of what ends up here.

Chargeback. When a customer asks their bank to take a card payment back. You record it on the order, and it pauses that customer's withdrawals until you have looked into it.

Closed. A competition status. Ticket sales have stopped, either because the end time passed or the competition sold out, and it is waiting for its draw.

Collect the Sets. A game feature where customers collect instant wins into sets, and completing a set earns a prize.

Completed. A competition status. The draw has been made and the winners are set.

D to H

Early Bird. A discount that applies early on. You set up to three tiers, and each tier ends at a time or after a number of tickets sold. Prices rise from one tier to the next.

Entry question. A question customers answer before they add tickets to their basket. You choose the question, the answers and the correct answer. A setting decides whether customers who answer wrongly still get tickets.

Free postal entry. A free way to enter by post, which must be offered alongside paid entry. You set your postal address and terms in your business settings. You add postal entrants' tickets with Ticket Allocation.

Held credit. Cash Wallet money that a customer can see but cannot withdraw or convert yet, for example after a duplicate payment or a card refund that the bank refused. You release it or refund it to the card.

Holding page. A page that replaces your whole site while you are down for maintenance or have not launched yet. Only staff can get past it, using the "Team login" link.
